HitcHHiker Productions is a Shropshire-Based video production company that wants to showcase what Shropshire is all about. We know the beautiful landscapes and thriving market towns that dot the landscape. Our mission is to be able to service the businesses in the county with the highest quality video production services. It’s what our community deserves and what we want the world to see.
HitchHiker Productions offers services relating to narrative productions in the local area. From sourcing locations to casting actors and appointing crew, we are here to help any production that needs logistical support.

THE PROCESS
DISCUSSION
You tell us what you want. What is your vision and what do you want to achieve. We are here to bring your ideas to life! We will comprehensively go through what kind of video you want, be it a promotional video, branding video or event video and listen to your thoughts. We can then offer our own input but at all times it is you who makes final decisions. We can guide you on certain decisions, but it is your ideas we want to hear the most!
SCRIPTING
Now onto the nuts and bolts of what we will shoot! We’ve discussed ideas, done a pro and con list of every idea. Probably drank our weight in coffee! Now we’re ready to turn those ideas, those visions, those goals into actionable scripts. We will do our initial draft based upon our consultation with you, from there you can review it and offer notes. A second consultation will take place to iron out any adjustments to the script you require. Rest assured we will not move forward until you are happy.
PRODUCTION
The best and worst part of every production. We’ve all shot the video in our head a thousand times, every angle and every frame. Reality tends to turn those ideas on their heads! The production part of the process will be getting the crew and equipment on site to shoot the video. The logistical elements, such as timings and location space, will all be agreed ahead of time. The important thing is we work to your time schedule. When it’s best and easiest for us to come and shoot is when we will be there.
EDITING
Once we have all the raw footage, it’s time to turn that into the stunning visuals and crisp sound that we all want. Our industry-leading editor will take the footage we have captured and cut it, slice it and stick it all back together in innovative and stunning ways. Then it’s onto grading the footage for that cinematic quality we strive to create. Finally, the sound editing where every breath, scrap of chair or note from a piano is added to the footage so we feel like we are actually there!

Nothing elevates a video then well…literally elevating it into the skies! Our drones are able to capture the beauty of both outdoor and indoor spaces that handheld cameras just can’t match. Our aerial drones come included in any package you choose from us. We don’t want a pesky thing like gravity from stopping us getting the perfect shot.

How much is this going to cost me?
We aim to work with you to fit into the budget you have allocated for the project. We don’t want that to hold back the creativity! Our quotes start at £1k for any production that is 5 minutes or less. From there it depends on any specialist equipment we may need to hire and number of shooting days. After a thorough consultation with us we will be able to supply you with an accurate quote.
Why should I choose you?
The most important question! We bring decades of experience to your project, our team has worked across the country, from commercials, branding and tourism videos to short films and feature films. We have worked across all types of videography mediums. We aren’t going to simply create something you’ve seen before, we aim to meld mediums together to create cinematic, innovative and dynamic videos.
How long does this take?
This can be as quick as you want it. Ideally, we would like four weeks lead time for consultation, scripting and notes before getting to the shooting part of this. Once we have shot the footage we aim for a two-three week turnaround. We want to keep the focus on our clients and so we won’t ever take on too many that we can’t devote our focus to your project.
What kind of projects do you take on?
If it requires a camera, then it’s our kind of project! In general, we take on commercials, branding, tourism, short films, weddings, expos, events and anything else you can think of. All we want is to create stunning visuals for our clients, no matter what it is for.
